March 16, 2007, Newsletter Issue #165: A Few Date Ideas

Tip of the Week

Do you think dating and marriage is an oxymoron? If so this tip is for you. Below are a few ideas to help you and your spouse spend more time together.

Short activities--
*go for a walk
*make dinner together
*play a game with just the two of you (checkers or twixt is my favorite with my wife).

Longer actitivies--
*go for a drive together
*go to a park and have a picnic
*find a place where you can read a book together

Super activities--
*go on a second honeymoon (you might consider going the same place you went on your first honeymoon)
*plan a trip together that both of you can look forward to.

Doing these things doesnīt necessarily save a marriage, but doing the small and big things does tell your spouse that you care enough to be with them. A good marriage doesnīt exist without effort.
